You’ve met the best, now it’s time to meet the rest!
Earlier today, the official Cyborg 009 Vs. Devilman website updated with a series of cast announcements. The following actors will join the series:
- Apollo: Akira Ishida (The Slayers NEXT, Psycho-Pass)
- Helena: Youko Honna (Precure, Whisper of the Heart)
- Professor Isaac Gilmore: Shigeru Ushiyama (One Piece, Tokyo Underground)
- Jinmen: Houchu Ohtsuka (Naruto, Durarara!!×2)
- Sacchan: Atsuko Enomoto (Precure, Steel Angel Kurumi)
The update came about just a day after the roles were revealed at a fan event.
The Cyborg 009 vs. Devilman OVA was first announced in June. The three-episode OVA is slated to hit Japanese retailers starting in November.
Originally, new projects in both Cyborg 009 and Devilman were announced to be receiving limited theatrical screenings. At the time, though, the two properties weren’t linked. Rather, they were revealed independently, with their own visuals.
In addition to the visuals, a 30-second teaser trailer is currently available, which you can check out below:
Jun Kawagoe (Getter Robo Armageddon, New Getter Robo) will helm the project at studios Actas (Girls und Panzer) and BeeMedia (Getter Robo: Armageddon).
