Ghost in the Shell Writer Tow Ubukata Arrested On Domestic Violence Charge


Tow Ubukata 001 - 20150824Earlier today, the Shibuya police arrested writer Tow Ubukata on charges of domestic violence against his wife. Ubukata denied the charges, stating that “it’s true that we quarreled, but I did not hit her.”

According to the police, Ubukata’s wife told officers that her husband hit her in the jaw and areas around her mouth on Friday. She reported the incident to the police the next day.

Tow Ubukata is an author and scriptwriter, who is best known for creating Mardock Scramble and writing the screenplays for Ghost in the Shell: Arise. More recently, Ubukata handled series composition and script writing duties for Psycho-Pass 2.
