Fighting evil by moonlight. Crushing gems by daylight! Never running from a real fight, she is the one called Sailor Moon!
Earlier this week, Bandai Namco started streaming a new commercial for the Sailor Moon Drops smartphone game. The 45-second video shows off the project’s gameplay, as well as in-game visuals of the Sailor Moon cast.
Sailor Moon Drops is a free-to-start title for iOS and Android, which hit app stores last Thursday. The game allows players to choose a Sailor Guardian, who will level up and gain new powers as the player progresses through the game. The title is also playable in multiplayer, allowing gamers to play cooperatively or competitively with one another.
This year marks the 24th anniversary of Naoko Takeuchi’s classic franchise. In North America, Viz Media holds master rights for both the original Sailor Moon anime and Sailor Moon Crystal. Kodansha Comics offers the manga under their banner, as well as prequel series Codename: Sailor V.
