Takeshi Obata & Tsugumi Ohno Working On “Platinum End” Manga


The latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump announced that Death Note creators Takeshi Obata and Tsugumi Ohba will join forces once again. The duo will produce a new manga series, titled Platinum End.

Platinum End will kick off in the December issue of Shueisha’s Jump SQ, which hits newsstands on November 4. Digital editions of the series will be released at the same time as it hits in print.

Rough Translation: [Best Comic Magaine Announcement]: The centerpiece of Jump SQ’s eighth anniversary is here! Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata’s new series Platinum End info is coming. Sit tight, the title is currently in production!

The title’s announcement tagline reads that “[t]his is a story of a human and an angel.”

Platinum End is the third collaboration between Obata and Ohba. Previously, the two worked on Death Note and Bakuman.
