Second Sword Art Online Movie Unveiled With Promo Teaser


Kirito and company are back for a brand new adventure!

At this weekend’s Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival, it was revealeled that Sword Art Online will receive a theatrical film. The feature will be directed by Tomohiko Itō at A-1 Pictures, with character designs by Shingo Adachi. Series creator Reki Kawahara is writing the film’s story.

Further information on the film will be available in the next issue of Dengeki Magazine (#46), which hits newsstands on October 10.

Aniplex of America currently holds the rights to the Sword Art Online TV series in North America, as well as sequel Sword Art Online II and the Sword Art Online EXTRA EDITION theatrical film.

The title is available streaming in its entirety on Crunchyroll.
