This knifer? No, it’s Kiznaiver!

…I’ll just.. go.. over there.

The latest issue of PASH! magazine revealed that Studio Trigger is working on a new anime series. The show, titled Kiznaiver, will be the directorial début of Hiroshi Kobayashi. Mari Okada (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans) will write the show’s script, while Mai Yoneyama (Hill Climb Girl) will provide character designs.

The original character designs were crafted by supercell illustrator Shirow Miwa.

Kiznaiver will be set in fictional Japanese city of Sugomori City, which is built on reclaimed land. While it was once a bustling metropolis, the settlement is seeing its population dwindle as years go by.

Through Sugomori City, the Kizuna System maintains order. It’s an incomplete process, which ultimately aims to create world peace by linking those connected to it via their wounds. When these folks, known as Kiznaivers, are wounded, the system divides the pain of the injury among the entire Kiznaiver population.

Katsuhira is the latest Kiznaiver. After receiving the news from classmate Sonosaki, Katsuhira finds himself in a situation that will set him apart from his peers.
