YangYang Mobile Kicks off “The Letter” Kickstarter


Trust me: it’s not that “The Letter”!

A few days ago, YangYang Mobile launched a Kickstarter campaign for The Letter, a horror-themed visual novel. The project has an initial goal of $30,000, which is expected to cover costs of development for PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android.

The drive’s reward tiers include:

  • $10: Digital copy of the game (Limited, 50)
  • $20: Digital copy of the game, Backer’s name in credits
  • $40: Digital copy of the game, Backer’s name in credits, Digital Art Book, Digital Soundtrack, PC Wallpaper
  • $50: Physical copy of the game, Digital copy of the game, Backer’s name in credits, Digital Art Book, Digital Soundtrack, PC Wallpaper
  • $80: Backer-only edition of the game, Digital Mobile copy of the game, Beta Access, & all Rewards at $40 Tier
  • $120: T-shirt, Postcard set, Keychain set, Stickers, Poster, & all rewards granted at lower (non-limited) Tiers
  • $200: Soundtrack Set, Hardcover Art Book, Nendoroid-style Figure, Signed Thank-You Card, Backer-Only Physical Copy of the game, & all rewards granted at lower (non-limited) Tiers
  • $400: Backer portrait in-game, Special Message in credits, & all rewards granted at lower (non-limited) Tiers
  • $600: Personalized artwork, Special Message in credits, & all rewards granted at lower (non-limited) Tiers
  • $1,000: Design a minor character, Junior Game Designer credit, & all rewards granted at lower (non-limited) Tiers
  • $5,000: Design a major character, Game Designer credit, & all rewards granted at lower (non-limited) Tiers
  • $10,000: Access to all files, documents, & builds; Direct communication with team, 3 day, 2 night stay with team in Phillipines (travel costs not included), Executive Producer Credit, & all rewards granted at lower (non-limited) Tiers

The Letter 001 - 20151025

Current planned stretch goals on the project are as follows:

  • $40,000: Expanded resources
  • $60,000: Two additional chapters
  • $90,000: FMV Cut Scenes
  • $120,000: Voice Acting

If funded, The Letter is expected to be completed in October 2016. A demo is currently available on the game’s Kickstarter page for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
