Cannon Busters Teaser Trailer Hits The Web

Soon, we’ll be busting cannons for fun and profit!

Earlier today, the Cannon Busters Kickstarter released a new trailer for the project. The 30-second teaser, which is also available to non-backers, showcases the title’s animation.

The teaser also reveals numerous new team members, including animation director Takako Shimizu (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders), background director Yann Le Gall (Basquash!), and technical director Yukio Nishimoto (Fairy Tail The Movie: Prologue – The First Morning).

Cannon Busters is a self-described “action-adventure dramedy,” based on Thomas’s comic book series of the same name. LeSean Thomas and Eric Calderon wrote the script. Thomas Romain is serving as Mechanical Designer, and Joe Madureira is handling character designs.

The feature brought in a total of $156,535 in its KickStarter drive, which ran from November 3, 2014 through December 3, 2014. The final pilot is currently scheduled for a January 2016 release.

Last November, we featured Cannon Busters as one of our KickColle Profile articles. The feature includes a short interview with creator LeSean Thomas.
