Sound! Euphonium Second Season & Movie In The Works

Earlier today, Kyoto Animation announced that Sound! Euphonium is getting a sequel. The company announced that a second season and a film are in production during the company’s KyoAni & Do Fan Days 2015 event.

The film, titled Hibike! Euphonium ~ Kitauji Kōkō Suisōraku-Bu e Yōkoso~ (Sound! Euphonium the Movie: Welcome to the Kitauji High School Concert Band), will recap the show’s first season, which aired earlier this year. The sequel will be a direct follow-up, exploring the events that occur after the first season’s finale.

To celebrate the news, Sound! Euphonium novel illustrator Nikki Asada posted a new sketch to Twitter.
