Show By Rock!! Anime Gets Sequel Series & Short-Form Spinoff

Earlier today, the official Show By Rock!! website announced that two new anime titles are in the works. A sequel to this year’s Show By Rock!! anime adaptation, as well as a new short-form series.

No staff or broadcast information has been announced as of press time, though the website was updated with a new visual.

The tagline of the visual reads “I believe. In music, and my friends, and the future.”

According to culture blog Yaraon!, the announcement was first made at this weekend’s Anime Girls’ Festival. Eleven voice actresses, who make up three of the in-universe bands, announced the new shows during a promotional appearance. The following groups were at the event:

  • Plasmagica: Eri Inagawa, Manami Numakura, Sumire Uesaka, and Ayane Sakura
  • Tsurezurenaru Ayatsuri Mugenan: Saori Hayami, Eriko Matsui, and Megumi Han
  • Cristicrista: Rina Hidaka, Ai Kayano, Hiromi Igarashi and Rie Murakawa

FUNimation holds the rights to the first Show By Rock!! in North America. The series is currently available on Hulu, YouTube, and FUNimation’s streaming service.
