First Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt Promo Video Hits The Web


The Gundam crew is ready to embark on its next journey!

Yesterday, Bandai Visual posted a promotional video for Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt. The 15-second teaser screened in Japanese theaters prior to showings of Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin II: Artesia’s Sorrow..

Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt will adapt Yasuo Ohtagaki’s manga of the same name. Details on the title’s staff and release format have yet to be announced, as of press time. A stage event will be held for the series at this year’s Gunpla World Expo Tour Japan.

Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt kicked off in the pages of Shogakukan’s Big Comic Superior in 2012. The series is told in parallel to the original Mobile Suit Gundam. In particular, the show takes place in UC 0079, during the One Year War. Federation and Zeon troops clash in a fierce battle a zone known only as the “Thunderbold Sector.” The series revolves around Federation Soldier Io Fleming, as he takes on the Zeon Troops in the Thunderbolt Zone and squares off against legendary sniper Daryl Lorenz.
