When things go great, there’s no need to cast blame!

Last night, Manga artist Tsutomu Nihei announced that his first manga series, BLAME!, will receive an anime adaptation. Polygon Pictures (Knights of Sidonia) is working on an animated film based on the title.

Nihei made the announcement on his Twitter account, which you can check out below:

BLAME! is a ten-volume manga series, which first hit the pages of Kodansha’s Afternoon magazine in 1998. The series received a six-part OVA in 2003.

TOKYOPOP released all ten volumes of BLAME! in North America. The title hasn’t been reprinted since TOKYOPOP’s closure in 2011.
