Second Assassination Classroom Season 2 Visual Released


Winter break’s almost over, and the next semester is ready to begin!

Yesterday, the official Assassination Classroom anime website updated with a new key visual.

The site also revealed the artists for the new season’s opening and closing themes. Actors Mai Fuchigami, Aya Suzaki, Nobuhiko Okamoto, Ryota Oosaka, and Shintaro Asanuma will return to perform opening theme Question.. Singer Shion Miyawaki will perform closing theme Kaketa Tsuki (The Waning Moon).

Assassination Classroom returns to Japanese TV on January 7, 2016. Fuji TV and Kansai TV will air the series on TV, with other networks to be announced later. Episodes will hit streaming services, including Fuji TV On Demand, three days after they air on TV.

Seiji Kishi (Angel Beats!, Yuki Yuna Is a Hero) will return to direct the new season of Assassination Classroom at studio Lerche. Kazuaki Morita (Fate/Prototype, Arpeggio of Blue Steel) will reprise his role as character designer, while Makoto Uezu (Arpeggio of Blue Steel, Is This a Zombie?) will return to provide the show’s scripts.

The first season of Assassination Classroom debuted on January 9, and ran for 22 episodes. FUNimation currently holds the rights to the series, and offers it on the company’s streaming platform.
