Earlier this week, D.Gray-man creator Katsura Hoshino revealed new information on the upcoming adaptation of her work. The artist posted a sketch, with a short message regarding the series to her Instagram account.

Rough translation: Thanks to everybody who attended the D.Gray-man stage event today. At the presentation, it was announced that a new series was greenlit. Though the staff is different, the story will be a sequel but I think it will become a whole new D.Grey-man anime series. I’m happy that you were there cheering for me! ?

Mr. K introduced the series at the stage event. But (lol) here it’s just a loose private account, and it doesn’t feel like an announcement. But thank you.

For official news, please refer to Jump SQ or the D.Grey-man website. ???

Shueisha revealed the new D.Grey-man anime series on Sunday. Ayumu Murase (Show By Rock!!, The irregular at magic high school) will play the role of Allen Walker in the new adaptation, while Shinnosuke Tachibana (Kamisama Kiss, Gundam Build Fighters) was cast as Howard Link.
