Crunchyroll Adds 2015 Lupin The 3rd Series

Earlier today, Crunchyroll announced that they will simulcast Lupin The 3rd Part 4 as it airs in Japan. The company will start streaming on January 7, at 11:30AM Pacific (2:30PM Eastern). All episodes that already aired on Japanese TV will be added to the service on January 7.

Episodes of Lupin The 3rd Part 4 will be available in the following territories:

  • Australia
  • Canada
  • Central America
  • Ireland
  • the Netherlands
  • New Zealand
  • Scandinavia
  • South America
  • United States
  • United Kingdom

Lupin III Key Visual 002 - 20150421Lupin The 3rd Part 4 is the first mainline entry into the Lupin anime franchise in thirty years. While Lupin and company did appear in numerous films and spinoffs like 2012’s Lupin The Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, this is the first actual Lupin TV series since the second title ended on September 28, 1985.

The series aired on Italian network Italia 1 from August 30 through November 30. The series started airing on Japanese TV on October 5. The series is currently slated to run for 24 episodes on Japanese TV.

The show’s main voice cast is composed of veterans from the franchise, including:

  • Lupin: Kanichi Kurita (1995 – Present)
  • Jigen: Kiyoshi Kobayashi (1971 – Present)
  • Goemon: Daisuke Namikawa (2011 – Present)
  • Fujiko Mine: Miyuki Sawashiro (2011 – Present)
  • Zenigata: Koichi Yamadera (2011 – Present)
