Lightning’s taking her act from Cocoon to the runway!
Last week, Louis Vuitton revealed that Final Fantasy XIII star Lightning will appear in a new advertising campaign for the company. A short teaser clip, titled “Series 4,” shows the warrior trading her armor for the brand’s hottest fashions.
Fashion guru Nicolas Ghesquière, who works as Louis Vuitton’s creative director of fashion, unveiled the clip on Instagram. The 15-second clip is a collaboration between the fashion company, Square Enix, with the teaser itself being produced by Square Enix’s Visual Works CG division under Tetsuya Nomura’s supervision.
The musical track in the feature is a new rendition of Blinded by Light, produced by Final Fantasy XIII-2 composer Yoshitaka Suzuki.
In the days following the teaser release, Ghesquière published a pair of high-quality stills to his Instagram page, which you can check out below.
It should be noted that this isn’t the first time that Lightning’s taken her style to the runway. In 2012, the heroine appeared in Japanese fashion mag Arena Homme Plus as a model for Prada’s summer men’s fashions.
