There you go, Astro Boy, on your flight into space!
Hulu announced that the 2003 Astro Boy anime series will join the platform’s library in February. The series will start streaming on February 1, for both free and paid members.
Astro Boy is based on Osamu Tezuka’s landmark manga of the same name. The series was directed by Kazuya Konaka (Rayca) at Tezuka Productions and Sony Pictures Television. Shinji Seya (Jungle Emperor Leo Special) provided character designs, while Takashi Yoshimatsu crafted the soundtrack.
In North America, Astro Boy was initially released by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The series aired on Cartoon Network, Kids! WB, and Jetix in the United States, as well as Canada’s Teletoon network.
