Finally, western anime fans can once again bask in the glory that is Freddie!

Earlier today, Discotek announced that they company acquired the domestic rights to Cromartie High School. The company will release the series in “April or May 2016.” The release will include both the original subtitled Japanese, as well as ADV Films’s dub for the series when it hits stores.

Cromartie High School is based on Eiji Nonaka’s manga of the same name. The show, which aired from 2003 to 2004, was directed by Hiroaki Sakurai (Kodocha, Maid Sama!) at Production I.G. The team of Atsushi Takeuchi and Masayuki Onji (Aria the Avvenire, Sweet Blue Flowers), while Kunio Suma composed the soundtrack.

ADV Films released the series in North America in 2005. The show also aired on TechTV as part of the network’s “Anime Unleashed” block in 2005.
