Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma Returns In Summer 2016

Earlier today, the Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma staff announced that the show’s second season will kick off this summer. The season, titled Shokugeki no Soma – Futa no Sara (Shokugeki no Soma – Second Serving, will see the main cast members returning to reprise their roles.

The announcement was made at the “Shokugeki! Maihama Festival” fan event, which was held at the Maihama Amphitheater in Urayasu, Chiba, Japan.

Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma adapts Yūto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki’s manga of the same name. The series kicked off in April 2015, and ran for 24 episodes. Yoshitomo Yonetani (Nurse Witch Komugi, Tiger & Bunny The Movie -The Rising-) directed the series at J.C. Staff, while Tomoyuki Shitaya (Bakuman, Kiss×sis) provided character designs. Scripts were provided by Shinichi Inotsume and Shogo Yasukawa.

A 2-minute teaser were released to promote the new season last December, which you can check out below.
