Twin Star Exorcists Anime Gets New Visuals, Cast Info, & Premiere Date


The twin stars will align once again next month!

Earlier today, the official Twin Star Exorcists (Sōsei no Onmyōji) anime website updated with the show’s premiere date, a new visual, and additional cast information.

The series will begin airing on five networks starting on April 6, at 18:25 (6:25PM):

  • TV Tokyo
  • TV Osaka
  • TV Aichi
  • TV Hokkaido
  • TV Setouchi
  • TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting.

In addition, the site unveiled four new cast members for the show. The series will cast the following:

  • Kinako: Jun Fukuyama
  • Ryogo Nagitsuji: Tomoaki Maeno
  • Arima Tsuchimikado: Daisuke Namikawa
  • Shimon Ikaruga: Kaito Ishikawa

Four new character visuals were released to celebrate the news:

Tomohisa Taguchi (Persona 4 the Golden Animation) is directing Twin Star Exorcists at Studio Pierrot, with Tatsuya Igarashi (Haganai) serving as sub-director on the project. Kikuko Sadakata (Corpse Princess) is providing character designs, while Naruhisa Arakawa (Outbreak Company, Steel Angel Kurumi) tackles series composition.

  • Benio Adashino: Megumi Han
  • Rokuro Enmadō: Natsuki Hanae
  • Yūto Ijika: Ayumu Murase
  • Seigen Amakawa: Junichi Suwabe
  • Mayura Otomi: Yū Serizawa

Viz Media currently holds the North American rights to the Twin Star Exorcists manga. The company describes the series as follows:

Rokuro dreams of becoming anything but an exorcist! Then mysterious Benio turns up. The pair are dubbed the “Twin Star Exorcists” and learn they are fated to marry… Can Rokuro escape both fates? When Rokuro’s best friend Ryogo goes missing, Rokuro is forced to ask Benio for help to enter Magano, the realm of the evil Kegare, to rescue him!
