Saekano Season 2 To Air in 2017 on Noitamina Block


Saekano’s returning to the kanban board for another sprint!

Earlier today, Fuji TV announced that the anime sequel to Saekano: How To Raise A Boring Girlfriend (Saenai Heroine no Sodate-kata) will air on the company’s Noitamina block. The new series, titled Saenai Heroine no Sodate-kata♭ (Saenai Heroine no Sodate-kata Flat), will hit Japanese TV in April 2017.

The series will be based on Fumiaki Maruto’s light novel series of the same name. As of press time, information on the cast and crew is still unknown.

The first season of the Saenai Heroine no Sade-kata anime also aired on the Noitamina block during the winter 2015 broadcast season. Kanta Kamei (Bunny Drop, Dimension W) directed the project at A-1 Pictures, while Tomoaki Takase provided character designs. Fumiaki Maruto wrote the screenplay for the show.

Aniplex of America acquired the domestic rights to Saenai Heroine no Sade-kata, which they released under the title Saekano: How To Raise A Boring Girlfriend. Crunchyroll currently streams the show in its entirety on its digital platform.

Earlier today, Fuji TV and Amazon announced that Amazon will stream Noitamina shows on their Amazon Prime digital platform.
