Crunchyroll Streams Kiznaiver Episode 0


Kiznaiver Manga 001 - 20160325This prologue gets a one-week engagement!

Earlier today, Crunchyroll announced that they’ve added Kiznaiver episode 0 to their digital platform. The episode, which hit the service at 8:30AM Pacific (11:30AM Eastern), is available to Crunchyroll subscribers in all regions outside of Asia and French- and German-speaking Europe.

The episode will only be available for one week, after which it will be removed. Crunchyroll describes it as:

Kiznaiver is being directed by Hiroshi Kobayashi at studio Trigger. Mari Okada (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans) will write the show’s script, while Mai Yoneyama (Hill Climb Girl) provides character designs. Yuuki Hayashi (Robotics;Notes, Blood Lad) will score the show’s soundtrack.

Boom Boom Satellites will perform the show’s opening, while Sangatsu no Phantasia performs the ending.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Katsuhira Agata: Yuuki Kaji
  • Yoshiharu Hisomu: Kōtarō Nishiyama
  • Nico Niyama: Misaki Kuno

Crunchyroll describes the show as follows:

A new project directed by Hiroshi Kobayashi, episode director and storyboard artist on KILL LA KILL and RAGE OF BAHAMUT: GENESIS, and written by Mari Okada, known for her portrayals of adolescence in many series such as ANOHANA: THE FLOWER WE SAW THAT DAY and THE ANTHEM OF THE HEART, with original character designs from manga artist Shirow Miwa.

A story about bonds created through wounds. A story about youth, of boys and girls sharing their “pain” starts now!!
