“Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto” Broadcast Shortened To 12 Episodes

Apparently, the great Sakamoto is too cool for Japanese TV!

Havent You Heard Im Sakamoto Gif 001 - 20160522

On Friday, Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto took to Twitter to announce that the series will not air its full 13-episode run. Due to last month’s earthquake coverage, the show’s run will be cut down to 12 episodes.

Takamatsu noted that he regrets that the show won’t be broadcast in its entirety.

Rough Translation: The “Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto” anime will only show 12 of the 13 episodes that have been produced. This is a measure being taken due to the recent earthquake-related news specials. It really sucks that all 13 episodes will not air, as we were able to craft a special flavor unique to the TV series.

Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto is based on Nami Sano’s manga of the same name. Shinji Takamatsu (Gintama, School Rumble) is directing the project at Studio Deen, with Atsuko Nakajima (Ranma ½, You’re Under Arrest!) serving as character designer. Yasuhiko Fukuda (Kocchi Muite Miko) composed the soundtrack.

The series began airing on April 8. The series is currently being streamed on Crunchyroll.
