Discotek To Release Streaming-Only Titles

Discotek’s entering the realms of the hyper-niche!

Earlier today, Discotek Media announced that they will begin offering streaming-exclusive anime titles. The company will translate and release shows that may not not warrant physical releases at the time of release. Territories and platforms will be announced at a later date.

Discotek did note that titles which perform strongly will be considered for a DVD release. The first series to be offered via this initiative is Miss Machiko (Maicching Machiko Sensei).

Miss Machiko is a 1981 anime series, based on Takeshi Ebihara’s manga of the same name. Kenji Terada (Cat’s EyeDirty Pair) wrote the scripts for the 95-episode series, which was produced by Studio Pierrot.
