Love Live! The School Idol Movie Gets English Dub Trailer

Yesterday, NIS America started streaming a new English-dubbed teaser for Love Live! The School Idol Movie on the company’s YouTube channel. The 60-second teaser introduces the film’s plot, with Honoka actress Marieve Herington serving as narrator.

Love Live! The School Idol Movie hit digital storefronts, including the iTunes Store, Amazon, and the Google Play Store, yesterday. NIS America will release the film on Blu-Ray on June 28.

Love Live The School Idol Movie Visual 001 - 20160615Love Live! The School Idol Movie is the latest entry into the Love Live! anime franchise. The film is a direct sequel to the second season of Love Live!, which hit Japanese theaters in June 2015. The film was one of the highest-grossing features in 2015, taking in 2.8 billion yen ($23,880,597 USD) during its run.

Takahiko Kyōgoku (Gate) directed the feature at Sunrise, with Yūhei Murota serving as character designer. Series writer Jukki Hanada (Chobits, Robotics;Notes) returned to write the script.

The feature received a global theatrical run, with NIS America handling distribution in the United States and Canada.
