Saitama’s working out every day, both to be a hero and to prep for his Toonami début!
Earlier todya, Adult Swim announced that they will air One-Punch Man as part of their Toonami programming block. The series will kick off on July 16, though a specific time has yet to be announced.
The news comes hot on the heels of Viz Media’s reveal of the show’s core dub cast. The series will star the following:
- Saitama: Max Mittleman
- Genos: Zach Aguilar
- Mumen Rider: Robbie Daymond
- Speed ‘o’ Sound Sonic: Erik Kimerer
One-Punch Man is based on Yuusuke Murata and ONE’s manga of the same name. Shingo Natsume (Space Dandy) directed the series at Madhouse, with Chikashi Kubota (Robotics;Notes) providing character designs. Tomohiro Suzuki (Tiger & Bunny) wrote the show’s scripts, while Makoto Miyazaki (Triage X) scored the soundtrack.
Viz Media currently holds the rights to both the One-Punch Man manga and anime series. The company is currently streaming the show on Hulu for residents in the United States.
