Anime Expo 2016: Funimation Acquires “Drifters” Anime


Funimation’s ready to drift into action this fall!

Earlier today, Funimation announced that they acquired the domestic rights to the Drifters anime series. Funimation plans to screen the show as a simulcast starting this October.

According to the promotional slide in their Anime Expo panel, Drifters will run for 12 full-length episodes.

Drifters is based on Hellsing creator Kouta Hirano’s manga of the same name. Kenichi Suzuki (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Gundam Evolve) will helm the project at Hoods Entertainment, with Ryoji Nakamori (Hellsing Ultimate) providing character designs. Hideyuki Kurata (Oreimo, The World God Only Knows) is in charge of series composition.

The confirmed voice cast includes:
