Anime Expo 2016: Funimation Adds Show By Rock! Short!! To Streaming Lineup

Show By Rock Short Visual 001-20160703It’s time for a bite-sized dose of fun with the BRR crew!

Earlier today, Funimation announced that they will add Show By Rock! Short!! to their summer simulcast lineup. Though Funimation hasn’t announced a specific première date, the show kicks off on Japanese TV on July 4.

The original cast and crew are returning to return to work on Show By Rock! Short!!. Takahiro Ikezoe will return to the director’s chair to direct the series at Bones, while Touko Machida returns to take charge of series composition. Game developer Geechs has a production coöperation credit.

The returning cast members include:

  • Retoree: Manami Numakura
  • Moa: Ayane Sakura
  • Crow: Kishô Taniyama
  • Aeon: Kouki Uchiyama
  • Yaiba: Tetsuya Kakihara

  • A: Saori Hayami
  • Un: Eriko Matsui
  • Daru Dayu: Megumi Han
  • Shūzō: Mamoru Miyano
  • Riku: Ayumu Murase
  • Kai: Ryota Ohsaka
  • Logia: Rina Hidaka
  • Tsukino: Ai Kayano
  • Holmy: Hiromi Igarashi
  • Jacqueline: Rie Murakawa

The original Show By Rock!! aired during the spring 2015 broadcast season. Funimation currently holds the rights to the title in North America. The show is currently available on Hulu, YouTube, and FunimationNow.
