Pikachu Reunited With Beloved Ketchup In New Pokemon Closing

You know… I didn’t realize I needed this in my life until today.

Yesterday, the 129th episode of the Pokémon XY & Z anime series hit the web. The episode, titled Fierce Fighting at the Kalos League! Gather, All of My Passion!!, closed off with a new ending sequence.

The new segment replaces ending theme Puni-chan’s Song with the new Pikachu’s Song, by Tomohisa Sako and Saku with Ikue Ohtani playing as Pikachu. The credits place the electric mouse in a true wonderland, filled with his one and only.

That’s right, it’s filled with green fields, blue skies, and tons of ketchup!

As many fans know, Pikachu adores Ketchup Bottle, the unsung hero of Showdown at Dark City. His tragic parting with the crimson avenger was one of the most heartbreaking tragedies to ever befall a Pokémon character.

Just look at that genuine sadness! And to think, it would be nearly twenty years before this truly joyous reunion! Now that they’re together again, there’s much to catch up on!

Or, more realistically, this could be a simple silly credits sequence.
