Funimation Streams Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno Trailer

A little over a week ago, I caught the first live action Rurouni Kenshin movie (look forward to my upcoming review). By the end, I was enthralled and ready to see more right away. Luckily for myself and the many other fans who were in attendance, we didn’t have to wait very long at all to get a glimpse of what is yet to come. Earlier today, Funimation Films released an English subtitled trailer for the upcoming second movie, Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno, which hits North American theaters on September 14.

The movie covers the Kyoto Inferno arc from the original manga (or the second season for the anime fans in the audience). If it is anything like the original, you can expect a very action filled, bloody good time!

Rurouni Kenshin Live-Action Visual 001 - 20160622This story arc in particular has been hailed by fans for many years as one of the best in the entire series. After seeing how well the first movie came out (I promise, my review of it is coming soon!) I can’t wait to see how the crew does with Shishio as the villain. If this trailer is any indication at all, this will be a can’t miss event!

At Otakon, Funimation showed off the Kenshin movies’ English dub cast. The films will star the Micah Solusod as Kenshin, and Alexis Tipton as Kaoru.
