The fleet is ready to set off or their next battle!
Earlier today, the official KanColle anime website updated with a new teaser trailer. The 105-second teaser highlights several battles with the villainous Abyssal Fleet, with theme song Kikan (Return) by Shiena Nishizawa serving as a background track.
Shinichiro Inoue (The Boy and The Beast) will once again take up the role as chief production supervisor on the project, with Keizou Kusakawa (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A’s, Sekirei) returning to the director’s chair at diomedea. The team of Mayuko Matsumoto (Handa-kun, Gingitsune) and Naomi Ide (Riddle Story of Devil, The Lost Village) will reprise their roles as character designers, while Tsutomu Miyazawa (City Hunter: The Motion Picture , Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS) and Kōta Moroishi return as mechanical designers.
Kensuke Tanaka will write the film’s script along with Jukki Hanada (Accel World, Love Live! franchise), who handled series composition on the TV series. Other confirmed staffers include:

The KanColle film was first announced at a fan event in August 2015. At the event, the crew screened footage that featured the following characters:

The KanColle anime series aired during the winter 2015 broadcast season. The show was helmed by Keizou Kusakawa at diomedea, with the team of Mayuko Matsumoto and Naomi Ide providing character designs. Jukki Hanada was in charge of series composition.
In North America, Sentai Filmworks currently holds the rights to KanColle. Crunchyroll streamed the show as it aired in Japan. They describe it as:
Set in a world where humanity has lost control of the oceans to the “deep sea fleet,” the only hope to counter this threat are the Kanmusu, a group of girls who possess the spirit of Japanese warships. The story revolves around Fubuki, a destroyer who comes to the Chinjufu base to train with other Kanmusu. Watch as their stories unfold!
