Marty, we have to go back! Back, to the fortress!
Earlier today, the official Noitamina YouTube channel started streaming a promotional video for the upcoming Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress compilation films. The 30-second teaser splices together scenes from the show.
Before we let you loose, I’m going to have to toss out a Spoiler Warning, as the piece features footage from the climactic final battle.
Two Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress films are in the works. The first movie will hit Japanese theaters on December 31. The second feature will hit theaters a week alter on January 7, 2017. Both features will have a two-week engagement. Amazon will stream the films internationally as part of their Amazon Prime service.
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress is an original series from Wit Studio. Tetsuro Araki (Attack on Titan, Death Note) directed the show, while Yasuyuki Ebara provided character designs. Ichiro Okouchi (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Planetes) was in charge of series composition, while Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan, Kill la Kill) wrote the scripts. Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan, Kill la Kill) scored the show’s soundtrack.
