The Absolution’s still making its journey. It’s just taking a shorter route.

Earlier today, the official Toonami Facebook Page announced that the block will be shortened by a half hour. Starting on October 1, Toonami will run from midnight until 3:30AM.

The block currently begins at 11:30PM. The change is being made to accommodate changes to Adult Swim, which is being pushed back from 8:00PM to 9:00PM on October 1.

Last week, Toonami saw between 1.2 million and 599,000 viewers for the night. The top performers were Dragon Ball Z Kai (1,267,000), One-Punch Man (1,203,000), and Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans (916,000). The lowest performer was Parasyte -The Maxim-, which aired at 3:30AM and attracted 599,000 viewers.
