Crunchyroll Simulcasts “Dream Festival” Anime


So, is it a festival of dreams, or a festival that is a dream?

Last night, Crunchyroll announced that they will simulcast the Dream Festival (DoriFesu) anime series. The series, which kicked off today at 6:00AM Pacific (9:00AM Eastern), is available to all Crunchyroll premium subscribers outside of Asia.

The second episode will air on October 7.

Dream Festival is an original project from Bandai Namco Pictures. The sreies is being helmed by Yuta Murano (Brave Beats), with Yoichi Kato (Aikatsu!Yo-Kai Watch) handling series composition.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Chizuru Sawamura: Kaoru Masaki
  • Junya Sasaki: Kentarō Tomita
  • Itsuki Katagiri: Masaki Ōta
  • Kanade Amamiya: Sōma Ishihara
  • Shin Oikawa: Takuya Mizoguchi
  • Haruto Mikami: Toshiyuki Morikawa

Crunchyroll describes Dream Festival as:

The Dream Festival is the stage that all idols dream of singing on, with their professional debut on the line. In order to get there, idols work their hardest every day to perfect their performance… and the key to coming out on top is the Dream Festival Cards sent by fans to their favorite idols. Receiving these Cards makes the idols who make it to the stage shine even brighter. Now head to the Dream Festival with your Dream Festival Card in hand for the idol you love most!
