It’s time to meet the mistress of filthy comic art! Well… if she comes out of her room, at least.

Earlier today, streaming service NicoNico hosted a live streaming event to promote the upcoming Eromanga Sensei – Imoto to Akazu no Ma (Eromanga Sensei – My Little Sister and the Locked Room) anime series. During the event, the show’s lead voice actor, as well as the core staff were officially unveiled.

Ryohei Takeshita will direct the series at A-1 Pictures, with Tatsuya Takahashi (And you thought there is never a girl online?, Pandora in the Crimson Shell: Ghost Urn) writing the scripts. In March, it was announced that Shinichiro Kashiwada (Oreimo 2, Sword Art Online) will serve as producer, and that Aniplex is in charge of overall production.

Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, Shirobako) was cast as Masamune Izumi. He joins Akane Fujita, who was tapped to play Sagiri Izumi.

News of the Eromanga Sensei anime adaptation broke on March 9, as it appeared in the latest issue of Dengeki magazine. The title will be based on a light novel series of the same name by Tsukasa Fushimi and illustator Hiro Kanzaki.

The Eromanga Sensei light novels kicked off in December 2013 under Kadokawa’s light novel imprint. The series revolves around Masamune Izumi, a light novel author who’s still in high school. Masamune’s sister Sagiri is a shut-in of the highest degree, to the point that she hasn’t left her room in a full year. The situation progresed as far as to force her brother to deliver meals when she stomps on the floor. Masamune, though, would like nothing more than to see his sister rejoin the outside world, as the two have no other family.

Fushimi and Kanzaki previously collaborated on the OreImo light novel series, which received an anime adaptation in 2010.

Last year, Dengeki and streaming service NicoNico collaborated on an OreImo x Eromanga Sensei crossver series. Fans voted on the direction of the four-episode show’s plot. You can check the entire series out below.
