Aniplex Inc’s greatest successes is coming to Crunchyroll. This time, though, they’re doing it dub style!
Earlier today, Crunchyroll announced that they will stream Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood‘s English dub on their digital platform. The series will be available on Crunchyroll starting October 3, though a specific time has yet to be named.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is based on Hiromu Arakawa’s Fullmetal Alchemist manga. The series is a reboot of the franchise that originally aired in the spring 2009 broadcast season. Yasuhiro Irie (Code: Breaker) helmed the series at Bones, with Hiroki Kanno (RahXephon, Yu Yu Hakusho The Movie: Poltergeist Report) providing character designs. Hiroshi Ohnogi (Birdy the Mighty: Decode, Kekkaishi) took charge of series composition on the project.
Funimation originally released Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood in North America. The company’s license for the series, as well as sequel film Conqueror of Shamballa officially expired on March 31, causing the rights to revert to Japanese licensor Aniplex.
Funimation’s license to the 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist anime series also expired at the end of July.
