Crunchyroll To Simulcast “Scorching Ping Pong Girls” Anime

Earlier today, Crunchyroll announced that they will stream Scorching Ping Pong Girls (Shakunetsu no Takkyuu Musume) as part of their Fall 2016 simulcast lineup. The series will kick off on October 3, at 11:05 Pacific (2:05PM Eastern). The show will be available to subscribers in all regions outside of Asia.

Scorching Ping Pong Girls is based on Yagura Asano’s manga of the same name. Yasuhiro Irie (Code:Breaker, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) is directing the show at Kinema Citrus, with Junko Sugimura providing character designs. Hideyuki Kurata (Now and Then, Here and There , Oreimo) is in charge of series composition.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Koyori Tsumujikaze: Yumiri Hanamori
  • Munemune: Ayaka Imamura
  • Kiruka Ushirode: Hisako Tōjō
  • Hanabi Tenka: Marika Kōno
  • Akari Kamiya: Minami Tanaka
  • Hokuto Itsumo: Yūki Kuwahara

Crunchyroll describes the show as:

The world of middle school girls’ ping pong enters an age of heated rivalry as the throne at its apex is surrendered… Tsumujikaze Koyori, a girl who loves ping pong, has just transferred to Suzumegahara Middle School. Along with her friends who strive to be the national champions, can Koyori bring the winds of change to the school?! The curtain is about to rise on a scorching hot tale of girls who love ping pong!
