Urara Meirocho Anime Gets First PV, New Cast & Theme Song Info


We’re getting a glimpse into the very near futures for these oracles in training!

Earlier today, the official Urara Meirocho anime website updated with a new promotional video. The minute-long teaser confirms the core cast members, with opening theme Yumeji Labyrinth (Dreaming Labyrinth) serving as a background track.

The site also updated with three new cast members. The following will join the show’s cast:

  • Saku: Ayaka Suwa
  • Oshima: Yuka Takakura
  • Shiozawa: Hitomi Sasaki

In addition, the site revealed details on the show’s theme songs. Opening theme Yumeji Labyrinth will be performed by the show’s cast. Closing theme Go to Romance>>>>> will be handled by Luce Twinkle Wink?

Urara Meirocho will begin airing on January 5, at 25:58 (1/6/2017 at 1:58 AM) on TBS. BS-TBS will début the show on January 7 at 25:00 (1/8/2017 at 1:00 AM). Sentai Filmworks announced that they licensed the show earlier this week.

Urara Meirocho will adapt Harikamo’s four-panel manga series of the same name. Youhei Suzuki (Ikki Tousen, Rune Soldier) will direct the title at J.C. Staff, with Mai Otsuka (Non Non Biyori, Shakugan no Shana) providing character designs. Deko Akao (Flying Witch, Noragami) is in charge of series composition.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Chiya: Sayaka Harada
  • Nono: Haruka Yoshimura
  • Kon: Kaede Hondo
  • Koume: Yurika Kubo

Sentai Filmworks describes the series as:

Girls from all over the country come to live in Meiro-cho for one reason: to train to become the top uranaishi – the Urara. One day, a 15-year-old girl named Chiya enters the gates, but she has another, secret reason for wanting to become an uranaishi. Together with three very different girls, Kon, Koume, and Nono, Chiya gets started as a fortune teller’s apprentice.
