This time, we’re dipping our toes into the realms of scandal. Buckle up, folks!

Earlier today, the official Scum’s Wish (Kuzu no Honkai) anime website updated with a new visual. The image features the four female leads posing on a stage, surrounded by fallen rose petals.

Scum’s Wish will hit Fuji TV’s NoitaminA block on January 12. Amazon will stream the series exclusively both in Japan and abroad. The first episode will hit Amazon’s Prime Video service on January 11.

Scum’s Wish will adapt Yokoyari’s manga of the same name in its entirety. Masaomi Andō (School-Live!, Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse) will direct the series at Lerche, with Keiko Kurosawa (Re: Hamatora, Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle) providing character designs. Makoto Uezu (Assassination Classroom season 2, Yuki Yuna Is a Hero) is in charge of series composition.

96Neko will perform opening theme Uso no Hanabi, while Sayuri was tapped to perform closing song Heikōsen.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Hanabi Yasuraoka: Chika Anzai
  • Mugi Awaya: Nobunaga Shimazaki
  • Akane Minagawa: Aki Toyosaki
  • Sanae Ebato: Haruka Tomatsu
  • Narumi Kanai: Kenji Nojima
  • Noriko Kamomebata: Shiori Izawa

Yen Press currently releases the Scum’s Wish manga in print, while Crunchyroll distributes the series digitally. Crunchyroll describes it as:

Hanabi and Mugi are bathed in envious gazers from all around as a beautiful couple with excellent moral conduct. But these two apparently perfect people in an apparently perfect relationship share a secret they can’t tell anyone.

Scum’s Wish is also receiving a live-action series, which will hit Fuji TV on January 18. Yokoyari’s manga will end this spring.

Fuji TV streamed a promotional teaser for Scum’s Wish earlier this month. You can check it out below:
