Schoolgirl Strikers Animation Channel Gets New PV, Five Character TV Spots


Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time to meet your Schoolgirl Strikers!

Earlier today, the official Schoolgirl Strikers Animation Channel website updated with a new promotional video. The 90-second teaser introduces the show’s concept. Opening theme song Mirai-kei Strikers (Futuristic Strikers) serves as a background musical track.

In addition, Warner Brothers started streaming five TV spots this week, which highlight each of the show’s main characters.

Schoolgirl Strikers Animation Channel will première on Japanese TV on January 7. The full schedule is as follows:

  • Tokyo MX: 1/6/2017 at 24:30 (1/7/2017 at 12:30AM)
  • BS11: 1/7/2017 at 21:00 (1/72017 at 9:00PM)
  • AT-X: 1/7/2017 at 21:00 (1/72017 at 9:00PM)
  • KBS Kyoto: 1/8/2017 at 23:00 (1/8/2017 at 11:00PM)
  • Sun TV: 1/8/2017 at 24:30 (1/9/2017 at 12:30AM)

schoolgirl-strikers-animation-channel-visual-002-20161118Schoolgirl Strikers Animation Channel is based on Square Enix’s “light novel-style RPG” mobile app. Hiroshi Nishikiori (Azumanga Daioh, A Certain Magical Index) will helm the project at J.C. Staff, with Yuichi Tanaka (A Certain Magical Index, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO!) providing character designs. Takao Yoshioka (Elfen Lied, Watamote) is in charge of series composition.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Yumi Sajima: Kana Hanazawa
  • Tsubame Miyama: Kaori Ishihara
  • Io Yaginuma: Miyuki Sawashiro
  • Satoka Sumihara: Rina Hidaka
  • Mana Namori: Yui Ogura

The show’s lead actresses, under the name Altair Torte, will perform opening theme Mirai-kei Strikers. Closing theme Kitto Wonderful (Definitely Wonderful) will be handled by Rina Hidaka and Yui Ogura.

CD singles for Mirai-kei Strikers and Kitto Wonderful will hit Japanese retailers on January 25. In addition to the main CD, five character-centric singles will be released. Each CD will include a character-specific version of Mirai-kei Strikers, as well as a unique character song.
