This year, Holo joins the fun at Anime Boston! As does Mad Moxxi, Varona, and Minoru Mineta, apparently.
Earlier today, Anime Boston announced that voice actress Brina Palencia will attend this year’s convention as a guest. Palencia joins seven other confirmed guests:
- Johnny Yong Bosch
- Lex Lang
- Michelle Ruff
- Okamoto’s
- Puffy AmiYumi
- Sandy Fox
- Naokatsu Tsuda
Palencia is was born and raised in Oklahoma, though she did live in Honduras until age 4. In 2002, she graduated from Weatherford High School, before moving on to attend University of North Texas (UNT). At UNT, Palencia was influenced by Dragon Ball Z, and set her sights on a voice acting career. She graduated from UNT in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, and began a career as a voice actress.
Brina Palencia’s been cast in numerous fan favorite roles, including:
- Black Butler: Ciel Phantomhive
- Borderlands Franchise: Mad Moxxi
- My Hero Academia: Minoru Mineta
- Spice and Wolf: Holo
- Tales of Xillia: Elle
- Tokyo Ghoul: Touka
- Rebuild of Evangelion Films: Rei
In addition to acting work, Palencia served as Music Director on several titles, including Space Dandy, Show By Rock!, and Dragon Ball Kai.
Anime Boston 2017 will be held from March 31 through April at Boston’s Hynes Convention Center and Sheraton Boston hotel.
