Tsugumomo Anime Gets Extended PV & Key Visual


You know… “Tsugumomo” is one of those non-words that’s just super fun to say.

Yesterday, the official Tsugumomo anime website updated with a new key visual and promotional video. We’ve broken out the details below:

Promo Video

The 110-second teaser trailer features opening theme song Metamoriser by Band Ja Naimon! as its background track.

The teaser reveals that Kikuko Inoue will play the role of the show’s narrator. Furthermore, the trailer ends with a confirmation that the show will hit Japanese TV on April 2, with the full schedule being as follows:

  • Animax: 4/2/2017 at 23:30 (4/2/2017 at 11:30PM)
  • Animax (Repeat Broadcast): Mondays at 27:00 (Tuesdays at 3:00AM)
  • Tokyo MX: 4/2/2017 at 24:30 (4/3/2017 at 12:30AM)
  • BS11: 4/2/2017 at 24:00 (4/3/2017 at 12:00AM)

Key Visual

The new image features series leads Kazuya Kagami and Kiriha against a blue sky, as Kiriha’s robes create a flurry of white strips. The sun shines in from the top-left.

Tsugumomo is based on Yoshikazu Hamada’s manga series of the same name. Ryōichi Kuraya is pulling double duty on directing and series composition at Zero-G. Kiyotaka Nakahara (Green Green, Doki Doki School Hours) will provide character designs. Masaaki Sakurai (Re-Kan!, Sabagebu! Survival Game Club!) is working as Chief Animation Director for the series.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Kazuya Kagami: Yuko Sanpei
  • Kiriha: Naomi Ozora
  • Kukuri: Yurika Kubo
  • Kokuyo: Eriko Matsui
  • Chisato Chikaishi: Noriko Shibasaki
  • Narrator: Kikuko Inoue
