Funimation unveils Dub Cast For Code Geass: Akito the Exiled’s Britannian Empire

Hail, hail, Britannia, a land I didn’t make up!

Yesterday, Funimation unveiled three new cast members for Code Geass: Akito the Exiled‘s English dub. The series added the following:

  • Ashley Ashra: Joel McDonald
  • Jean Rowe: Jad Saxton
  • Shin Hyuga: Alex Organ

Previously, Funimation confirmed the following roles:

  • Akito Hyuga: Micah Solusod
  • Leila Malcal: Jeannie Tirado
  • Ryo Sayama: Ricco Fajardo
  • Yukiya Naruse: Aaron Dismuke
  • Ayano Kosaka: Elizabeth Maxwell

Funimation will ship Code Geass: Akito the Exiled on DVD and Blu-Ray on June 27.

Code Geass: Akito the Exiled is a spinoff from Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. The five-episode OVA, which first hit Japanese retailers in 2012, was directed by Kazuki Akane (Birdy the Mighty Decode, The Vision of Escaflowne) at Sunrise. Takahiro Kimura (Dirty Pair Flash, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion) provided character designs for the project, while the team of Hiroshi Ohnogi (RahXephon, Aquarion), Kazuki Akane, and Miya Asakawa (Turn A Gundam: Earth Light) wrote the screenplay.

Bandai Entertainment originally released Code Geass: Akito the Exiled in North America. Funimation describes the show as:

Leila Malcal, commander of her very own W-0 unit for the European army, takes on dangerous missions with her powerful and mysterious lieutenant, Akito Hyuga. With a group of rebels on their side, they fight the Britannian army but face more than the typical perils of war. A foe from Akito’s past seeks his life and a dark power threatens all that Leila has worked for.
