Get ready Ozzies and New Zealanders, Funimation’s preparing to invade the streaming shores!
Earlier today, Funimation announced that they launched their FunimationNow platform in Australia and New Zealand. The service is available in free ad supported format, as well as a $5.99 AUD premium subscription.
The service launched with more than one hundred dubbed anime episodes, with Funimation naming the following titles as part of the launch lineup:
- Fairy Tail
- Fruits Basket
- Yuri!!! on ICE
- My Hero Academia
Funimation will announce new titles from the upcoming Spring broadcast season, including SimulDub titles. Crunchyroll will continue to serve subtitled content for the region.
FunimationNow is available on iOS and Android. Funimation will roll out apps for other devices, including Amazon Fire TV, Xbox 360, and Apple TV in the near future.
