Sentai Filmworks Adds Beyond the Boundary Films, Tamako Love Story, 1 More


We’re heading beyond the boundaries of just how many Kyoto Animation titles a company can announce in a single panel!

Yesterday, Sentai Filmworks announced that they acquired four anime films:

  • Beyond the Boundary -I’LL BE HERE- Past
  • Beyond the Boundary -I’LL BE HERE- Future
  • Love, Chunibyo, & Other Delusions: Rikka Takanashi Version (Takanashi Rikka • Kai ~Gekijo-ban Chunibyo demo Koi ga Shitai!~)
  • Tamako Love Story

As of press time, release dates haven’t been revealed for any of the films.

Beyond the Boundary -I’LL BE HERE- Past is a compilation film for the Beyond the Boundary anime series. The movie retells the events of the original series, while focusing on Mirai Kuriyama.

Sequel film Beyond the Boundary -I’LL BE HERE- Future features a new story. The two films opened one month apart fomr each other, with Beyond the Boundary -I’LL BE HERE- Future premiering in March 2015, while Future debuted in April.

Both movies were directed by Taichi Ishidate, with Jukki Hanada (KanColle, Love Live! School Idol Project) writing the screenplays. Miku Kadowaki (Amagi Brilliant Park, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid) provided character designs.

Love, Chunibyo, & Other Delusions: Rikka Takanashi Version is a compilation for the first season of Love, Chunibyo, & Other Delusions, told through the perspective of Rikka Takanashi. The movie was directed by Tatsuya Ishihara (Clannad, Nichijou: My Ordinary Life), with Jukki Hanada writing the screenply. Kazumi Ikeda (Clannad, Sound! Euphonium) provided character designs on the project.

The movie hit Japanese theaters in September 2013.

Tamako Love Story is a sequel to the original Tamako Market anime. The film was directed by Naoko Yamada, with Yukiko Horiguchi providing character designs. Reiko Yoshida wrote the film’s script.

Tamako Love Story first hit Japanese theaters in April 2014.
