So, ah… yeah. This is a thing.

Earlier today, Shogakukan posted a listing for the seventh volume of Yomi Hirasaka’s (Haganai) Imouto Sae Ireba Ii. (It’d be Good if Only Little Sister Was Here). The site contained an image preview of the book’s cover (below), which confirms that an anime adaptation is in the works for Fall 2017.

The preview image has since been pulled as of press time.

The site’s address was first unveiled on a preview image for the cover of the seventh novel in the series. The book will hit retailers on May 18 in two versions: a normal edition and a Special Edition that includes a drama CD.

Imouto sae Ireba Ii first hit stores in March 2015, under Shogakukan’s imprint. The book was written by Hirasaka, and features illustrations by Kantoku (The “Hentai” Prince and the Stony Cat.).

A manga adaptation of the series, titled Imouto Sae Ireba Ii. @comic, launched in Monthly Sunday GX magazine. The series, which is being produced by Idu, spans two collected volumes. A third book will hit retailers on May 19.

A manga spinoff, titled Imouto Sareba Ii. Gaiden Imouto ni Saenareba Ii!, is being produced by Kobashiko. The title launched in Square Enix’s Gangan Joker magazine in October 2016.
