Crunchyroll To Stream Stan Lee & Hiroshi Nagahama’s “The Reflection” Anime

Is it a reflection of the soul, of the self, or some other metaphor…?

Yesterday, Crunchyroll announced that they will stream The Reflection as part of their Summer 2017 lineup. The publisher showed off a two-minute promo video, which explains the show’s concept.

A new visual was also unveiled, which you can check out below:

The Reflection will be a collaborative project between Stan Lee (X-Men, Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk), Hiroshi Nagahama (Mushi-shi, Detroit Metal City), Studio DEEN, and Pow! Entertainment. The project was first unveiled in 2015.

Koichiro Sohtome will direct the project at Studio DEEN, with Yoshihiko Umakoshi (Berserk, Mushi-shi) providing character designs. Yasuyuki Suzuki (Naruto Shippūden, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s) is writing the show’s scripts, while Trevor Horn produces the music.

9nine will produce the show’s ending theme song.

Studio DEEN describes The Reflection as:

After THE REFLECTION, some of the people in all parts of the world are discovered with super powers.
Some become heroes, and others villains.
How did The Reflection happen? What was the cause of it?
With many unsolved mysteries, the world is lead into turmoil.
