Crunchyroll Adds “The Devil is a Part-Timer”, “Blood Blockade Battlefront”, 1 More To Digital Lineup

A trio of fan favorites are flying the orange banner today.

Earlier today, Crunchyroll announced that they added three new titles to their digital lineup. The company is streaming the following in their entirety (regions in parentheses):

  • Blood Blockade Battlefront (United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark)
  • The Devil Is a Part-Timer! (United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa)
  • Junjo Romantica 3 (United States, Canada, United Kingdom, South Africa, Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands)

Blood Blockade Battlefront is based on the manga of the same name by Trigun creator Yasuhiro Nightow. The 2015 series was directed by Rie Matsumoto (Kyousogiga, Heartcatch Precure! Hana no Miyako de Fashion Show…Desu ka!?) at Bones, with Koji Sugiura (Hajime no Ippo – Champion Road, Mobile Suit SD Gundam Festival) and Toshihiro Kawamoto (Cowboy Bebop, Wolf’s Rain) providing character designs. Kazunao Furuya took charge of series composition.

Crunchyroll describes the series as:

A breach between Earth and the netherworld has opened up over the city of New York, trapping New Yorkers and creatures from other dimensions in an impenetrable bubble.

The Devil Is A Part-Timer! is based on Satoshi Wagahara’s light novel series of the same name. The 2013 series was helmed by Naoto Hosoda (Future Diary, Shuffle!) at White Fox, with Atsushi Ikariya (Fate/Zero, Terraformars Revenge) providing character designs. Masahiro Yokotani (Free! – Iwatobi Swim Club, Sakura Quest) was in charge of series composition for the project.

Crunchyroll describes The Devil Is A Part-Timer! as:

Foiled by a hero when he’s inches away from conquering the world, the devil finds himself in modern-day Tokyo. With no real-world skills to speak of, the devil is forced to make ends meet flipping burgers at a fast food joint! To stall any further plans of world domination, the hero tracks the devil’s trail and takes on the lowly tasks of a telemarketer.

Junjo Romantica 3 is the third installment of the Junjo Romantica anime franchise. Chiaki Kon (When They Cry – Higurashi, Golden Time) returned to the director’s chair the title at Studio Deen, with Yoko Kikuchi (El Cazador de la Bruja, Kuroko’s Basketball) providing character designs.

Crunchyroll describes the show as:

Junjo Romantica 3 follows the ongoing story of three couples:

The Romantica relationship between college student Misaki Takahashi and his tutor, Akihiko Usami.
The stormy Egoist couple—Professor Hiroki Kamijou, a tsundere, doted on by Nowaki Kusama.
The dramatic Terrorist couple—divorced literature professor Yo Miyagi, and his younger lover, Shinobu Tatasuki.

It’s complicated.
But so worth it.
