It’s time to take a trip back to those awkward high school years… Uh… again.
Earleir today, a ReLIFE fan event was held at the Kawaguchi Lilia in Kawaguchi, Saitama. At the show, it wa revealed that the ReLIFE anime will receive a four-part OVA series, titled ReLIFE: Kanketsuhen (ReLIFE: Concluding Story).
As the title implies, the OVA will be an epilogue, which closes the show’s story. The first episode will hit DVD and Blu-Ray in Japan in March 2018. A 90-second promotional trailer was shown off during the announcement:
The ReLIFE anime is based on Yayoiso’s manga of the same name. The TV series was helmed by Tomo Kosaka at TMS Entertainment, with Junko Yamanaka (Kamisama Kiss, Case Closed) providing character designs. The team of Kazuho Hyodo and Michiko Yokote were in charge of series composition.
The show aired during the Summer 2016 broadcast season. Crunchyroll streamed the title as it aired, and describe ReLIFE as:
Arata Kaizaki (27) quit the job he landed after graduation in only three months. His life did not go well after that. Now his parents are threatening to stop sending money, and want him to come back to the country. He has no friend or girlfriend to share his troubles with…as he hits rock bottom a strange man named Ryo Yoake appears. Yoake invites Kaizaki to join a societal rehabilitation program for NEETs called ReLife. This program uses a mysterious drug to make him look younger, and sends him back to high school for a year…
