Funimation Announces Tsugumomo Dub Cast

You know, if you say “Tsugumomo” over and over again, it starts to lose all meaning. It’s kind of weird in that way.

Earlier today, Funimation unveiled their English dub cast for Tsugumomo. The series will star the following:

  • Kiriha: Sarah Wiedenheft
  • Kasumi: Jeannie Tirado
  • Chisato: Megan Shipman
  • Kazuya: Howard Wang
  • Kokuyou (Episode 1): Leah Clark
  • Kukuri (Episode 1): Apphia Yu
  • Osamu (Episode 1): Stephen Fu
  • Shirou (Episode 1): Kyle Igneczi

Aaron Dismuke was tapped to direct the dub. Tsugumomo‘s SimulDub will début on FunimationNow on May 11, at 9:30PM Eastern (6:30PM Pacific).

Tsugumomo began airing on April 2. The series is based on Yoshikazu Hamada’s manga series of the same name. Ryoichi Kuraya is pulling double duty on directing and series composition at Zero-G. Kiyotaka Nakahara (Green Green, Doki Doki School Hours) will provide character designs. Masaaki Sakurai (Re-Kan!, Sabagebu! Survival Game Club!) is working as Chief Animation Director for the series.

One day Kagami Kazuya, an ordinary boy, encounters Kiriha, a beautiful girl in a kimono. It turns out Kiriha is a tsukumogami, a spirit, whose true identity is the precious obi Kazuya carries around as a memory of his late mother. All kinds of bizarre things unfold in this supernatural action comedy!
